Description | Injection Molding Contract Engineer (18 month contract in Tomahawk, WI) The major functions for this technical position include manufacturing support of plastic injection molding operations, product tooling, process development, and continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities will extend to planning/improving manufacturing practices and processes. Integrating established and new technology within facilities and processes. Aid design engineers with manufacturability reviews. Help coordinate production tooling design reviews, build and implementation for new plastic injection molded components. Assist with injection molding process development for all new and existing tooling. Work with people and resources in meeting quality, cost, and schedule milestones for assigned strategic initiatives. Assist in training current technical support personnel. Help to develop and implement process instructions and documentation. Requirements • Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum of 4 years experience in plastic injection molding is required. • Tooling experience is preferred. • 6 axis robotic experience is a plus with a preference toward Motoman. • Competency in utilizing personal computers and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with 3D CAD software is desired, preferably ProE. • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership within a diverse work group comprised of both union hourly and salaried individuals is essential. • Requires competency in communication skills to clearly present information through the spoken word and be able to guide others through oral presentations. • Requires proficiency in leadership, team building and interaction skills. • Some domestic travel will be necessary. Pay range is $40 - $42 per hour.
